We are looking for bloggers who can express themselves well in writing and want to share high-quality art business related information.
Topics
posts that usually get the most attention are tips, how-to posts, informative lists, as well as those that walk people through everything from finding an artist’s rep to selling their art on line.
- Instruction – Instructional posts tell people how to do something.
- Information – blog post where you simply give information on a topic; a “how-to”, or an explanation of some aspect of the art world.
- Opinion – write a fair and insightful opinion about a topic and ask readers for their opinion.
for example, possible topics could be:
- artist portfolio preparation and self promotion [how-to]
- freelancing [information]
- working with an Artist’s Representative [instruction]
Post Frequency
We require guest bloggers to commit to write at least two posts per month
Post Length
Typically, posts can be of any length as long as they convey the message. We do recommend you have a minimum of 200 words. Keep in mind that posts that are too long can be daunting for readers.
Editing
We always review and edit posts before posting to artbizbuz. We’re not going to rewrite your article, but may make grammatical changes, minor edits, title changes, photo changes, and other changes as we see fit.
If a post misses the mark completely or if it needs improvement, we will return it to you and say so. If there is room for improvement, we’ll let you know and may suggest how to do so.
Exclusivity
In submitting a post to artbizbuz, you agree that the post you’re writing is exclusively for use on artbizbuz or one of our related websites. Do not submit duplicate articles or use any work that has been submitted elsewhere.
Byline
If your article is chosen to be published, we’ll credit you as the author, and if appropriate will link to your artist website.
Other Terms
- Guest bloggers are NOT paid in any way.
- No plagiarized works and you accept total legal and fiscal responsibility for any plagiarism issues.
- We have the sole right to deny/refuse to publish a submitted article.
- You give artbizbuz the right to repost or reuse all or any part of your article in any reasonable manner without compensation to you.
- Do not put unnecessary links (this is a big “no-no” for us – we will remove all unnecessary links). We will provide a link to your blog if requested and appropriate.
