Protection of Your Intellectual Property
All forms of intellectual property, including fine art & photographs in digital and analog form, are eligible for protection under the copyright laws of the United States. These laws protect the creators of intellectual property against unauthorized use of their works.
What’s Required to Get a Copyright? The way in which copyright protection is secured is frequently misunderstood. No publication or registration or other action in the Copyright Office is required to secure copyright. (See following note). There are, however, certain definite advantages to registration for the artist. See “Copyright Registration.”
