Strategic Marketing 5

question #5: Why would I spend money on strategic planning ? .
artists’ perspective: to develop a realistic, time-phased marketing plan might cost you money. It may be a cost of a book or business cost of business consulting and / or cost of professional training about marketing planning. Nobody wants to spend money on something that has no obvious value. Spend money on a new frame for an artwork? Yes! Spend money on a new portfolio case? Maybe! Spend money on a new marketing plan a new marketing strategy? Why plan? What strategy? Big doubts!
marketing, business perspective: strategic marketing planning, broadly speaking, is a valuable form of self improvement. It empowers an artist to implement the best of creative abilities for the price of a book or an hour or so of consulting services. Money spent on marketing planning is a business expenditure. Money spent learning how to develop marketing strategy is an investment. There is no better investment than in your own personal marketing plan. After all, it is a direct investment in yourself and your future as an artist.
